Welcome to my website.
My most recent work has been concentrating on producing a series of ‘Iconic Paintings’. The paintings are a synthesis of several styles of religious art, using a variety of materials to produce work which is rooted in tradition but has a more post-modern result. This series also reflects my continuing interest in and study of psychotherapy, Buddhism and creativity.
Meanwhile, I’m following my other passion for
making short films and video installations. ‘Moth’ is a short film
commissioned by the British Film Council and South West Screen and shown on
HTV. My video installations are more conceptually-based and are presented
in a location and manner which is significant to the material. Such as the
performance–installation
projected onto the ceiling of St Mary’s Church in Oxford.
Earlier paintings and drawings are also on this site. The themes are varied but often concern the portrayal of women and relationships.
With 20 years decorating experience, I design and implement customised interiors based on themes of underwater, jungle, football, holiday views or cartoons for example.
