Drawings Gallery
When I draw, it is the opportunity for my unconscious to speak. Beginning with just a mark, a line, a repetitive motion or a form which has caught my eye, the picture usually takes its own course from there. Some objects or a scenario may then be suggested and I will develop that. Often I don’t know what it's about, sometimes till years later!

A4. I drew this unconsciously, not knowing what it was about. Two years later I suddenly realised that the tortoise is me – slow to make decisions, ready to withdraw into my shell, defensive. The woman is my girlfriend who holds me at arms length, the other hand on her abdomen. We were discussing having children at the time. Our shadows were often present |
